Drawing on a long career in science, Susan Turner is an emerging cast glass artist whose journey to the studio has been driven by a love of technical challenges and a long-held ambition to work with glass. Working in her studio amidst the rugged beauty of Auckland’s West Coast, Susan takes inspiration from her surroundings to craft works using the lost-wax casting process.

Each piece is designed to invite a quiet pause—a moment in which the viewer can simply experience the dynamic interplay between glass and light.
