Michele Irving is an imaginative, creative & joy-seeking artist! Based in Wellington, Michele creates detailed animal-themed wall art from textiles, embroidery & applique. Irving's works have been widely collected by national & international clients. Michele explores the nature of myths & fairytales as she hand sews the individual characters - each with their distinct names, personalities & purpose.

Growing up, Michele was surrounded by wonderfully talented relatives (Great Grandmother, Grandmother & Mother) that all stitched - this is where Michele first fell in love with textiles & the craft of hand stitching. Irving enjoys working with textiles for their versatility & unlimited range of colours, patterns & textures. 

Michele also enjoys the process of drawing, painting & collaging - using these mediums to fulfill her passion for 'tiny works', this is where Michele creates greeting cards, prints & zines.
