This contemplative double-framed work is a set of lithographic prints from the "Carte De Visite" series by artist Alexis Neal.

The piece is presented in two dark, hinged wooden frames featuring a delicate silver-beaded inner border.

The left frame contains a handwritten quote reflecting on a spiritual connection to the natural world: "Aroha mai Aroha atu, the Huia calls to me in my dreams".

The right frame showcases a detailed lithograph depicting a pair of Huia birds perched together, rendered in a textured, historical style.

This series uses a formal Victorian aesthetic to explore the intersections of Māori identity, ancestral memory, and the sacred status of New Zealand's native species.
