Part of Mary Schollum's Vessels of Excess series, Lolly Scramble II is a playful celebration of colour, featuring a rainbow palette of soft pastel glazes reminiscent of childhood sweets and nostalgic moments. Layers of colour melt, pool, and blend across the vessel, creating a surface that feels joyful, indulgent, and full of movement.

Inspired by the delight of “too much”, Schollum embraces exuberance and the unpredictable nature of glaze in motion. The result is a one-of-a-kind ceramic work that celebrates colour, texture, and the beauty found in imperfection.

Each work in the series may be fired up to ten times, placing considerable demands on both the clay and the glaze. As a result of this intensive process, these vessels are intended as sculptural artworks and should not be considered watertight.
