Jungle Bloom

Jungle Bloom - Original Painting | Candy Clarke

Feature an authentic slice of art from Aotearoa inside your interior design with Jungle Bloom, an exclusive original painting by Nelson-based artist Candy Clarke.

This striking reverse-perspex original balances sharp modern presentation with expressive, light-catching colors, encased in a custom handmade timber frame sourced by the artist during travels.

The smooth, high-gloss finish and intense colour saturation deliver a sleek, contemporary centerpiece that standard canvas prints simply cannot match.

Crafted decades ago as a bespoke collaboration, these carved frames showcase age-old tribal shield artistry commissioned directly by Candy in Papua New Guinea.

The timber is sculpted and intentionally charred to create an impervious natural barrier against water, insects, and fungi. To finish each masterpiece, Candy hand-rubs the charred wood with natural wax sourced in Aotearoa, leaving a warm, sophisticated glow that beautifully honors both cultures.

Hand-crafted with meticulous detail in Aotearoa, this vibrant artwork provides design lovers with a completely unique connection to local creative talent.
