Aimee Gruar
Aimee Gruar is an Auckland-based multi-media artist who feels deeply inspired by Mother Nature. Wherever possible, Aimee likes to reduce her carbon footprint by creating art with 'upcycled' materials. Aimee has a strong connection to Pakiri Beach where she lived as a child & continues to visit that piece of paradise as frequently as she can.
Aimee has deep respect & appreciation of nature & has always admired NZ Birdlife - her works are dominated by birds & in particular, the now extinct Huia (last sighted in 1907). Well-known for her work with old LP records, Aimee also fashions feathers from vintage materials & uses recycled native New Zealand timber to make pendants & brooches.
Aimee's works have all been carefully crafted & considered, made to be treasured.
We are proud to support, Aimee Gruar!
