Creative practice workflow for Handiceramics' mugs are hand-carved and painted.    For comfort and safety, a matte white glaze is used on the inside and rim of the mug. The decoration of the mug has two to three layers when the first layer is thoroughly dried, the second layer is decorated, and the last do the final carving.

Hannah has been working in the ceramics industry for 15 years and now reside in the North Shore of Auckland. Hannah first got to know ceramics way back in Jingdezhen and completed her University course in ceramic art in 2008. Afterward, in 2012 she studied PGD graphic design at AUT in New Zealand. In 2022, she completed a master degree in fine arts at the University of Auckland.

In today's rapidly developing environment, people's mental and work pressures have increased to varying degrees. Therefore, it is especially important to balance between work and leisure. I highly cherish the warm moments I can share with friends and family after a busy day. Therefore, the design and decorative colours I use hope to give people comfort, warmth, passion, happiness, and a homely feeling. The warm comfort is also reflected in the texture of the ceramic material. The surface of the cup does not have a cold and shiny glaze but uses a specially modulated matte glaze. When you use the cup at any time and in any location, you will feel the warmth and inclusiveness of nature.
