Paula enjoyed a successful career in the Film & Television Industry, with involvement in the various Art & Wardrobe Departments. It was in the year 2003, that Coulthard decided to establish herself as a full-time Artist.

Coulthard's Aotearoa (New Zealand) Flags has the wonderful ability to transcend the viewer into the visual depiction, evoking emotions of memory & familiarity.

Paula Coulthard loves her nation, endeavouring to capture the pioneering spirit, & rugged beauty of New Zealand & its warm-natured people. Through her craft, Paula is able to capture a sense of time, place & memory - which is integral to her work.
