Leonie Sharp is a Sculptural Artist based in Whanganui on the West Coast. Traditionally trained in Whatu Kakahu, (traditional Māori cloaks) & inspired by her heritage, Leonie creates striking feather-woven artworks. 

Leonie enjoys the process of working with her hands, where she incorporates varying textures, colours & themes within her sculptural pieces. Inspired by her involvement within varying collaborations, Leonie Sharp is constantly looking for new ways to showcase traditional art-forms. 

Leonie's sculptural works are a nod to her culture & are presented as a precious taonga (treasure).
