Andi Regan turns her creative lens toward the mysteries of the New Zealand bush with her striking original wall sculpture, Nectar Lines. This one-of-a-kind artwork spotlights the pekapeka (native short-tailed bat) navigating a vibrant, hand-crafted crescent of exploding crimson blossoms.

Rather than relying on traditional mediums, Regan uses unexpected, humble materials to build rich texture.

She meticulously shapes the fiery red starburst flowers out of common plastic cable ties, while the bat’s translucent, veined wings are cleverly fashioned from industrial mesh and tinted flywire.

This playful yet sophisticated intersection of everyday materials and native ecology creates a dramatic contrast of deep shadow and glowing red. As a standalone piece of fine craft, it offers a brilliant, conversation-starting focal point for any modern interior.
