Royce McGlashen is an award-winning ceramic artist who produces a wide range of tableware inspired by the beautiful shells found on the shores of Aotearoa. He works from his studio in Brightwater, near Whakatū / Nelson, New Zealand.

Royce uses a variety of techniques to create his tableware, including ram-pressing, slip casting, hand building, and throwing. He also produces his own clays on site, using primarily white stoneware and paper clay.  The glaze colours are sublime, echoing all the natural elements: sky, earth, water.

Royce's tableware is both beautiful and functional. It is perfect for any occasion, from a casual meal with friends to a formal dinner party. It is also a great gift for overseas visitors, as it is a unique and authentic representation of New Zealand aquatic life.
