Carried By The Wind features a singular, kōura-green form that occupies the space between a traditional pounamu kapeu (teardrop pendant) and the sleek silhouette of a native bird.

The work is defined by its intricate internal textures, with flowing lines that suggest both the natural grain of stone and the soft movement of feathers. A solitary red circle serves as a piercing focal point, acting as an eye that imbues the object with life and a sense of "watching."

By merging these two symbols of heritage and nature, Neal creates a modern talisman that speaks to the spiritual connection between the land and the sky.
