This limited-edition print by Paora Tiatoa powerfully fuses the iconic Star Wars Stormtroopers with intricate traditional Māori design .
The artwork depicts a central Darth Vader figure flanked by an army of Stormtroopers, all rendered in a striking black and white style. The figures' armor is meticulously overlaid with traditional Māori patterns (kōwhaiwhai and tāniko), transforming the military gear into cultural commentary.
The central Vader figure holds an orange poi (Māori performance prop), underscoring the cultural fusion referenced in the title "Poi Troopers".
