New Zealand Artist - Nic Tucker, is inspired by her surroundings & through her muse creates landscape prints of Aotearoa (New Zealand). Having lived in the deep south of Invercargill to the top north of Ahipara & many places in-between, Tucker has a rich sense of the whenua (country/land). Whilst teaching Art (secondary level), Tucker was struck with the deep impact & importance of the land & our connection to it.
Nic Tucker produces limited edition Woodblock prints; she fell in love with an adaption of Japanese Woodblock Printmaking when she attended Dunedin School of Art. Every contour & curve of the land has been hand-carved, inked & pressed by Nic Tucker herself.
Tucker's body of work continues to grow, as does, the appreciation of her artform both nationally & abroad.
