This striking contemporary necklace by jeweler Neil Adcock is a sophisticated study in New Zealand geology and design.

The piece masterfully blends two of the country's most treasured materials in one unique structure. 

At the base, a large, luminous piece of ancient Kauri Copal Gum (fossilised resin) glows with warm yellow colour. Capping this resin is a small, contrasting bar of deep green pounamu (New Zealand greenstone). 

Neil expertly retains any natural formational shapes and texture with all his kauri gum pieces. 

Both stones are held within a bold, architectural frame of metal rods, creating an industrial, cage-like structure that celebrates the tension between nature's softness and man's geometry.

 It hangs effortlessly from a black adjustable cord.
