By hand-drawing the wax into delicate, ribbed strands, Mel Mueller transforms rigid metal into a form that mimics the effortless drape of pleated silk.

Every ridge and valley on the surface is a deliberate "trace of the maker," featuring fine striations and softened contours that celebrate the beauty of imperfection.

Cast in warm manganese bronze, the metal takes on a living, tactile quality that catches the light across its asymmetrical folds.
