The New Zealand Falcon (Karearea) is a native of New Zealand. It is an aggressive brd of prey & an incredible hunter. It feeds during the day, mainly, on other small birds.

The Falcon can reach phenomenal speeds during flight & is also extremely agile - even capable of turning upside dow in mid-air!

The Falcon's numbers have been declining steadily & it is now considered to be endangered. The Pounamu (Greenstone/Jade) Toki symbolizes the courage & strength of the wearer.
