This extra-large waka is beautifully carved from native timber, displaying clean, fluid lines that honour traditional Māori seafaring vessels.

The hull is adorned with an intricately woven central panel, blending shimmering copper accents with a vibrant gradient of deep blues and teals that evoke the changing moods of the ocean.

Balancing customary design with a striking contemporary aesthetic, this powerful taonga explores themes of journey, heritage, and connection to the water.
