This iteration honours Waitā the Matariki star connected to the ocean, tides, and marine life reinterpreting traditional kōwhaiwhai through a high-contrast palette of crisp cream flowing over a deep, dark charcoal background to evoke the churning energy of the sea.

Meticulously detailed and painted by hand, the rhythmic, interlocking scroll patterns capture the fluid motion of coastal waters while highlighting a deep connection to whakapapa (lineage) and the natural world.
