The weapon is beautifully sculpted from inanga pounamu, a variety prized for its pearly, opaque greenstone qualities. The piece displays a striking natural transition, transitioning from a soft, clouded green through the body to a heavily mottled, dark olive and iron-rich hue at the blade end.

Carved with traditional, clean lines, the grip features detailed grooves (reke) at the butt and a braided black cord attached through the drilled hole.

This taonga rests elegantly on a smooth, custom-carved native wood stand that highlights its fluid contours.
