The iconic silhouette of Tāmaki Makaurau’s most recognisable volcanic cone is explored in this minimalist watercolour study. Meg Cummins uses a monochromatic blue palette to capture Rangitoto Island rising from the Hauraki Gulf, focusing on the calm, ethereal atmosphere of the sea and sky.
