Operating from their studio in Whanganui, Madelyne Gourdin and Nick Spicer Balme of Kawakawa Stone blend world-class technical skill with a genuine respect for the materials of Aotearoa.

This Pounamu Pendant is a beautiful, organic piece that honours the natural form and spirit of the the Inanga pounamu from the Arahura River. 

The carving follows the unique flow of the jade, celebrating its raw edges and the deep, earthy greens that make New Zealand pounamu so special.

It serves as a grounded symbol of strength and connection to the land, designed to feel comfortable and natural against the skin.

The pendant is finished with a simple, adjustable brown cord that allows the focus to remain entirely on the stone’s internal character.
