Medina Koni brings her profound woven narrative together into a singular masterpiece with the complete four piece installation, Ngā Kete Tuku Iho. This extraordinary work explores the different kinds of knowledge we carry throughout our lifetimes what we inherit from our ancestors, what we learn through experience, and what we ultimately grow into.

The installation stands as a living pou, carried by the kōrari stalk and its empty seed pods, serving as a powerful reminder of release, renewal, and the potential held within whakapapa.

Upon this organic foundation rest the three distinct baskets of inherited knowledge: Hā, Roimata, and Moemoeā.

Each kete holds a part of that journey in a way that feels deeply personal, real, and human.
