This Pounamu Hei Matau is a beautiful, contemporary take on a traditional form that feels both strong and deeply connected to the land.

The Hei Matau (fish hook) shape traditionally symbolises prosperity, abundance, and safe travel over water carved from rare Whakatū pounamu from Nelson.

This particular piece features soft, rounded curves and a central open space that follows the natural wairua and internal spirit of the jade.
