Janeen Page is a Taranaki-based Potter. Janeen graduated from Elam School of Fine Arts with a Bachelor's Degree in Sculpture in 1997, since then, she has poured herself into the creative art form of pottery. For Janeen, Pottery bridges the two worlds of creativity & functionality - the art form personally resonates with her values & allows Janeen to create a medium that is natural & sourced within New Zealand.

Janeen Page works predominately with locally sourced Taranaki glaze material (an early tertiary mudstone from Parininihi / Mt Messenger). As a tactile artist, Janeen has taken the time to explore the various glazing ingredients of early NZ Potters & has incorporated a palette of natural colours using rock, ash & volcanic remnants within her ceramics.

Page endeavors to maintain the integrity of the handmade works - the form fits within the hand & the inherent maker's markings have been left to tell the story.
