The South Island Robin (Totutouwai) lives only in the South Island & Stewart Island of New Zealand. It is approximately the size of a sparrow.

 It is distinguishable by its long legs & upright posture. The South Island Robin lives in mature forests & bushes.

They live long lives of up to 14 years & are generally monogamous throughout their lives.
