Collection:
Between Land, Sea and Sky
07 - 16 May, 2026
At The Poi Room, 37 Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby
Bringing together Beth McGill, Emma Walker, Meg Cummins and Strahan Clarke, four New Zealand artists whose practices are deeply connected to the natural environments of Aotearoa.
Through painting and ceramics, the exhibition explores the interconnected ecosystems that shape our landscape; varying from the grounded textures of earth to the shifting forms of the ocean, and the delicate life carried through the sky.
Each artist interprets these elements through their own materials and processes. Feathers become surfaces for painted native birds, clay is shaped into organic forms echoing coastal terrain, and sweeping painted landscapes capture the emotional presence of land and atmosphere.
Together the artists and their works create a dialogue between the earth, water and air, revealing the subtle relationships between these elements and the ways they influence both environment and identity in Aotearoa.
