The artist, Shannon Turuwhenua, is a Wood Sculptor based in North Waikato. As part of the Whānau-based collective, Past Present Future, he creates his art from native and exotic timbers, always prioritising reclaimed or recycled sources where possible.

Each of his pieces, including this one, is handcrafted, ensuring that no two are exactly the same.
