Discover a beautiful range of tableware inspired by the unique shells found on the shores of Aotearoa. McGlashen Pottery was founded by Royce and Trudi McGlashen, and the studio in Brightwater, near Whakatū / Nelson, New Zealand has been brought back into operation by Josh Jones and Coral Denize. 

Each piece of pottery is hand crafted using a variety of techniques perfected by Royce McGlashen over his 60 years in the ceramics industry, including ram-pressing, slip casting, hand building, and throwing. Coral is now the head potter, taking on new designs and continuing to create Royce's decorations and shapes. The glaze colours are sublime, echoing all the natural elements: sky, earth, water.

McGlashen tableware is both beautiful and functional. It is perfect for any occasion, from a casual meal with friends to a formal dinner party. It is also a great gift for overseas visitors, as it is a unique and authentic representation of New Zealand kaimoana / seafood.
