Strahan Clarke explores atmospheric depth in this stoneware piece, featuring a tactile surface detailed with a bespoke hand-carved stamp.

The vessel is finished in a striking deep blue and stony grey glaze, creating a variegated surface that highlights the rhythmic impressions of the custom tooling. This textured "skin" invites the hand to engage with the piece, turning the daily act of use into a sensory experience.

Presented with a rugged, matching pedestal, the cup is elevated from a functional object into a deliberate sculptural work. This pairing honors the artist's focus on the intimate relationship between the maker and the user, celebrating the moment a vessel is lifted to the lips.

The grounded, organic form of the base provides a steady anchor, allowing the vibrant cool tones and intricate textures of the cup to truly stand out.
