Strahan Clarke presents a masterclass in ancient-inspired texture with this cup. 

The vessel features a complex, celestial-like pattern of interlocking circles and fine lines, meticulously achieved through the use of a bespoke hand-carved stamp.

The warm beige and sandy-toned glazes are beautifully breakable over the relief work, creating a weathered, archaeological quality that feels as though the piece was pulled from the earth.

By pairing the bulbous cup with a heavy-set, variegated pedestal, the artist emphasises the transition from raw material to a finished object of reverence.
