Glenda Hape is a Māori contemporary artist and weaver currently residing in Whakatāne with her whanau.
She first became interested in the arts in 2008 and completed a Bachelor of Art and Visual Culture at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi in 2011. She acknowledges her mentor and kaiako Tina Wirihana.
Her work reflects her interest in culture and travel. It explores the unlimited potential of native New Zealand flora with the influence of contemporary multimedia.
