The Cross | Ben Campbell
"I stumbled across this location when out for a walk. Initially, I was drawn to the large gold cross & thought that could make an interesting image. As I looked at it from the bottom up I saw some interesting patterns emerge & decided to wait for a sunny day when the light would reflect off it a bit more. Three weeks later there was not a cloud in the sky. I approached the cross when the sun was high in the sky & I spent the next few hours trying to find the right angle to make an image. As time went by I got increasingly frustrated by my initial ideas not working out so I took a break. It was only then when the sun had dropped in the sky that it was able to reflect so perfectly in these windows. The composition was my next challenge, the reflection of the cross needed to be in the center of the building but I wanted to give the main cross enough space to fit right in the frame. As I got lower to the ground it balanced out perfectly".
