Tu is a Designer Toy which combines Maori concepts with modern materials. The shape is derived from the Tekoteko a traditionally carved humanistic warrior form, but also has an animated appearance much like many contemporary 'Art Toys' of today. Tu the product looks to explore the idea of translating Maori narratives into mass produced figurines/toys for children to play with. Its my intention for children to grow up with figurines that represent the unique stories of Aotearoa. Recommended for the young and young at heart
