This is an amazing cast glass bowl by West Auckland based Ron Reich.

Even with this being cast glass each piece is unique and highly labour intensive. The use of convex and concave surfaces within the piece enhances the light gathering properties of the glass and intensifies the colour. Matt finished woven flax impressions are contrasted with glass that has a super smooth finish. This polished finish is something that Ron Reich is considered to be a master of amongst his peers.

Measurements; 280mm diameter by 120mm high.
